2007Jan18: Ten major companies with operations across the US economy, including utilities, manufacturing, petroleum, chemicals and financial services, band together with leading environmental groups to call for a firm nationwide limit on CO2 emissions that would lead to reductions of 10% to 30% over the next 15 years (MSNBC, 2007). The ten companies are General Electric, DuPont, Alcoa, Caterpillar, Duke Energy, PG&E, FPL Group, PNM Resources, BP, and Lehman Brothers.
