2007Mar20: 65 US investor and financial companies sign a statement urging the US Congress to pass strict laws to reduce CO2 emissions by 60 to 90% by 2050, compared with 1990 levels. The group is led by Ceres, a Boston investment firm that focuses on environmental issues (IHT, 2007).
