6,000 UK Citizens Could Die in Severe Heatwaves Between 2008 and 2017

2008Feb12: 6,000 UK citizens could die in severe heatwaves that are projected between 2008 and 2017, but warmer winters will mean that fewer people will die during the winter, according to a report prepared by a panel of scientific experts commissioned by the UK Department of Health and Health Protection Agency (BBC, 2008).
