Cost of Gas Per Mile Traveled in US Will Be About 15 cents in 2008

2008May24: The cost of gas per mile traveled.

2008May24: The cost of gas per mile traveled [in the US] will be about 15 cents in 2008, according to Lee Schipper, a visiting scholar at the transportation center of the University of California, Berkeley. The cost of gas per mile traveled was about 5.6 cents in 1998 (adjusted for inflation). The record cost of gasoline per mile traveled was 17.1 cents in 1980 (adjusted for inflation) (New York Times, 2008).
