Southern Fish Stocks Migrate Further North to Cooler Waters 2008

2007Mar28: According to the Norwegian National Institute of Marine Research report, “Ocean Resources and Environment 2007, winter ice cover in the Arctic Barents Sea in 2006 was the lowest ever recorded, and average water temperatures in the Barents Sea since 2000 have been the highest recorded. The report said that southern fish stocks, including whiting, were migrating north to cooler waters (IHT, 2007).
