2008Oct30: Human activities are responsible for rising temperatures.

2008Oct30: Researchers report that they have proven human activities are responsible for rising temperatures in the Arctic and Antarctic. Excerpt from the report: “Our results demonstrate that human activities have already caused significant warming in both polar regions, with likely impacts on polar biology, indigenous communities, ice-sheet mass balance and global sea level.” The research team was led by Environment Canada climatologist Nathan Gillett (Canada.com, 2008).
